This quick and comfortable procedure uses FDA-approved medicine (Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau, and Xeomin) to relax hyperactive facial muscles that pull on the skin and create expressive lines. These micro injections are placed directly into facial muscles underneath the skin to help with facial balancing and give patients a healthier, happier, and more relaxed appearance. Lines between the brows, on the forehead, and crow’s feet around the eyes, neck, lower face, around the mouth, and decollate can all be improved with these treatments. Treatment can done every 3-4 months for prevention, or as infrequently as once or twice a year depending on the patient’s anatomy and needs. Results can be seen in as early as 3-4 days, while full results take effect after 2 weeks. Follow up neuromodulation should be done after two weeks if more product is needed.

The key tools used in Facial Balancing are dermal fillers that are placed to even out facial features, improve symmetry and volume loss, soften lines, and reposition skin to a more pleasing angle. The result is a natural, pleasant, more youthful and healthy appearance of the face. Dermal fillers can be placed in all areas of the face including forehead, temples, cheek, under-eye, nose, around the mouth, lips, jaw and chin. The neck and chest are also important parts of facial balancing. Dermal fillers have two main classes: bio-stimulatory and hyaluronic acid (which is a naturally occurring component of healthy skin that keeps tissues hydrated but can decrease with age). We use products from Juvederm, Restylane, Radiesse, Versa, and Sculptra.

 

 

Fat melting injections, using Kybella, are performed primarily in the submental fat (known as the “double chin” area) and permanently destroy fat cells during the 6-8 weeks following injection. Treatments are done every 6-8 weeks and almost always done in a series of 2, 3, or 4 injection appointments, depending on patient anatomy and treatment goals. The number of treatment sessions varies based on the amount of fat under the chin. These injections can also be placed in the bra fat area lateral to the breast, or in the back, around the umbilicus or into the “banana roll” between buttock and thigh.

 

 

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Injections can be performed for facial rejuvenation of skin, facial balancing with soft tissue fillers, and hair restoration. These injections are placed to increase platelet and growth factor concentrations in these areas. PRP is a very natural treatment, using the healing properties of our own bodies to produce new healthy skin cells, blood supply, and hair follicles. The injections can be performed with or without micro needling to the skin or scalp.
